Minister of Tourism and Sports Visits Destinations to Promote Tourism in Trat Province with City Marketing

          On 6 March 2022 at 10.00 am, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Tourism and Sports, with Dr. Natee Ratchakitprakarn, Chair of the Committee of Advisors to the Deputy Prime Minister (Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul), Gp. Capt. Athikun Kongmee, Director the Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (Public Organization) or DASTA, and Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Deputy Governor for Domestic Marketing, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), participated in activities such as cycling, planting vegetables, tasting seasonal local dishes, and experiencing the Low Carbon Destination tourism at Koh Mak Farm in Trat Province.
           Then, at 1.30 pm, the Minister of Tourism and Sports and the delegation visited and discussed ways to promote tourism at Khao Rakam Temporary Prison which is a learning center for sufficiency economy principles with a beautiful setting. Later that afternoon, the delegation visited Ban Pu Resort in Muang District, Trat Province, to hold a discussion with the Chair of the Tourism Industry Council, Chair of the Provincial Chamber of Commerce, and the Trat Tourism Association about ways to develop and promote tourism in Trat Province to attract more tourists to visit Koh Mak, Koh Kood, and Koh Kradat with an emphasis on distributing income to communities, passing on local heritage, and sustainably preserving the environment in line with the policies of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
